Additional Learning Support
This article explains how to tell us about any additional learning support needs you have
As part of our commitment to providing inclusive and supportive learning environments, we aim to ensure that all apprentices receive the appropriate support throughout their training and assessment.
Here’s a clear guide on how to complete your Aptem application if you have a disability or learning difficulty, and how to upload supporting documents:
Declaring a Disability or Learning Difficulty in Aptem if you are in the Onboarding stage of your Apprenticeship:
- Log in to Aptem using your learner credentials.
- Navigate to the Enrolment or Onboarding section of your Learning Plan.
- Look for a section titled “Additional Learning Support” or “Learner Support Needs”.
- Select the appropriate options to declare your disability or learning difficulty.
- Provide a brief description of your condition and any support you may require during your apprenticeship.
Declaring a Disability or Learning Difficulty if you have already started your apprenticeship:
If you have already started your apprenticeship programme and wish to notify us of your disability or learning difficulty, please contact us support@skillsedge.co.uk.
To help us assess your eligibility for additional support and funding, we kindly request evidence of any disability, learning difficulty, or health condition that may impact your learning or assessment experience. Please upload this to Aptem

- A formal diagnosis or report from a medical professional or educational psychologist
