How to order physical copy of training materials from the CII

This articles guides you on how to order a physical copy of the CII book

Apprenticeships that lead to a professional qualification include a digital study book per unit as standard. However, if a physical (printed) textbook is required, this can be purchased by the employer at a reduced rate for Skills Edge Training learners.

Please note: the cost of a physical study book must be paid by the employer. Apprentices are not permitted to contribute financially to apprenticeship costs.

Options for Ordering a Physical Copy

Your options for ordering the book will depend on whether or not or employer has a Corporate CII account, and whether or not they would like to set one up:

 

1. Employer Has a Corporate CII Account

A corporate account is an account held with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in the name of the business, not an individual.

If the employer has a corporate CII account:

  1. Once digital materials have been ordered, the learner and line manager will receive an order email from Skills Edge Training.
  2. The employer must forward this email to corporateorders@cii.co.uk.
  3. This ensures the learner is identified as a Skills Edge student and prevents the employer from being charged the non-discounted rate.
  4. The business will then be invoiced directly by CII.

 

2. Employer Is Unsure or Does Not Yet Have a Corporate CII Account

If the employer is unsure whether they have a corporate account, or would like to set one up:

3. Employer Does Not Want a Corporate Account

If the employer does not want to create a corporate CII account:

Skills Edge Training will arrange for CII to contact the employer directly to take payment by card over the phone. The employer will be asked to provide:

  • A contact telephone number for the cardholder

  • A preferred time for the call (morning or afternoon)
