Understanding Class Notebook
This articles guides you on how to locate and navigate your Class Notebook in Microsoft Teams
How to Locate Your Class Notebook in Microsoft Teams
Your Class Notebook is where you’ll complete activities, take notes, and review resources shared by your tutor. It’s linked directly to your class Team in Microsoft Teams, so everything stays organised in one place.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Teams in Your Browser
- Open your internet browser (we recommend Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).
- In the address bar, type: teams.microsoft.com
- Press Enter.
- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 apprenticeship account if prompted.
Step 2: Go to Your Class Team
- On the left-hand side, click the Teams icon (two people in a square).
- Find and click on your class Team tile (e.g. Level 3 Business Administrator).
Step 3: Locate the Class Notebook
- Once inside your class Team, look at the top menu bar (just under the Team name).
- You’ll see tabs such as Posts, Files, and Class Notebook.
- Click on the Class Notebook tab.
- The notebook may take a moment to load the first time you open it.
Step 4: Explore the Notebook Sections
Your Class Notebook is split into different sections:
- Collaboration Space – for group work and shared activities.
- Content Library – where your tutor posts resources and notes.
- Your Personal Notebook – a private space just for you and your tutor, where you can complete tasks and add notes.
Step 5: Open in OneNote (Optional)
- For more features, click Open in OneNote (found at the top of the notebook).
- This will open the notebook in the OneNote app (if installed) or in OneNote for the web.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Can’t see the Class Notebook tab? Click the + (plus icon) at the top menu and check if your tutor has added it, or contact them to confirm.
- Notebook not loading? Refresh the page or try using another browser.
- Multiple accounts? Ensure you’re signed in with your apprenticeship account.
✅ You can now access your Class Notebook in Teams and use it to complete tasks, store notes, and collaborate with your tutor.
