What meetings does my manager have to attend?
This articles explains the meetings that a manager should attend
To ensure effective support and development of apprentices, it is essential that line managers actively participate in structured Progress and Planning Meetings. These meetings should take place approximately every 12 weeks, resulting in a minimum of four formal meetings across a 12-month period. These meetings allow line managers to monitor progress, address any challenges, plan future activities and milestones, and align learning outcomes with business needs.
In addition to these meetings, it is crucial for line managers to attend the Showcase Portfolio Planning Meeting. This meeting provides a deeper insight into the End Point Assessment (EPA) process. By attending, line managers can gain a clearer understanding of the EPA process, how the apprenticeship standard aligns with the apprentice’s job role, and how they can support the apprentice in meeting the requirements of EPA.
